Watching Hard Days' Night on TV.
Listening to my dad sing along with "yellow submarine" on the radio, followed by a tirade in which he criticized their music and their haircuts!
Dancing and singing along to "Rock and Roll Music" myself, getting the words wrong, amusing my sister's teenage friend, who had the 45.
Watching HELP! on TV.
Watching the Beatles cartoon show on Saturday morning TV.
Watching a TV special exploring how the original Paul was actually dead, and had been replaced by a look-alike. Remember that?
Hearing my dad tirade against the "My Sweet Lord" song because it had lyrics including "hare Krishna."
Hearing on the news about the breakup of the Beatles... which seemed to take about a year, so I kept on hoping that they weren't really broken up at all.
=
Then of course, the song "She's leaving home" running through my head over and over again... never mind.

They were very much the sound of the sixties, from 1964 all the way through 1969. It's very strange, then, that collections of music from the sixties (such as Time Life makes) include no Beatles songs! (and from the 70s, no Carpenters; from the 80s, no Michael Jackson).

I am a huge Beatles fan and consider the Beatles to transcend generations. I found myself watching a Paul McCartney concert on PBS and could honestly say that there were people from ages from the older generations to teenagers. My favorite Beatles song is Hey Jude with Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band/ With a Little Help from my Freinds running a close second.

I barely recall seeing them on TV when it was still black and white. I was like 3 or 4.
That may not actually even be a real memory; I pretty much grew up with the Beatles.

My first Beatle memory was "Let it Be" when it was a hit on the radio. The Beatles broke up when I was 8.

The first memory I have of them is them getting off a plane somewhere in the US and all the girls totally drowning out the reporter. They had some good songs that I liked, Strawberry Fields , for me, was one of the better ones. But I was more into Elvis. Still am.

I knew when the Beatles came to the U.S., I probably saw them on the Ed Sullivan show, the first time I ever saw them.

Watching them on Ed Sullivan while sitting on the living room floor. I was 10 years old and my parents actually liked them. It was 1964.
