I don't think there is any destiny. I mean, it's kind of defeatist to believe there is, you know? Basically, that would mean if someone is meant to be rich and famous, it would happen no matter what, whether they sat on their sofa and drank beer, or enrolled in acting school, busted butt going to auditions, landed parts, kept themselves in shape, and worked hard. What with the prevalence of trailer parks being rife with people drinking beer and NOT being rich and famous, I can't really see Destiny being a viable myth.
Then again, I also understand that ALL religions were created to explain science. Since we're understanding science more and more, religion just seems so...country bumpkin. Like, "Paw, how wuz I born?" "Gawd made you, lil Timmy." Not, "Well, your mother was ovulating, and her egg was fertilized..."

I believe that everything is predestined, but not by a god or powerful being. I'm an Atheist. I think that everything can only happen one way, and we don't have free will. Since every event is caused by a previous event, I think there is a chain of events that goes back to the beginning of the universe or the beginning of the world or whatever. However, I do not believe that people will ever be able to know their futures because most of the information we need is basically incomprehensible to us.

First of all, there is no higher "force" or "power" than God Almighty. Guess I don't need to answer your question now, huh? God is the Lord of all heaven and earth. That includes me and you. Pick up the Bible and find the answers. May God bless you.

Control is a big word. Influence. My present actions combined with the normal flow of life are the things that influence my future/destiny.

God definitely has the best plans but it is up to us to make the choices. He won't force you to live a happy, joy filled and peace filled life, He only offers it to us. It's our job to accept the gift.

This is a tricky question. My church teaches that we decide what we want, we make our own choices not God. I want to believe it but at times I can't. I went to a fortune teller once and everything he told me has been true, so it was predestined right, I had no choice, it was bound to happen!

You control your destiny. The question is who or what motivates or guides you?

Me. God influences me and I can ask him for help. But due to free will, I am the master of myself.
