Practicing should be pretty obvious. When you actually perform, though, just try to relax and don't stress out about it. Don't pinch your lips, but do maintain lots of air flow. Some people forget to breath when they're nervous. Also, PLAY OUT! That's the biggest mistake trumpet players make - they forget that its a solo and should be played with confidence. Don't overpractice. Save your chops for the solo, and do your best. That's all you can do. Good luck!

okay this should be easy for me (i play clarinet solos sometimes) okay...when you know your going to have to stand up in front of ppl or play in front of ppl..best thing to do is to keep practicing the part you are going to play...the more you practice the more you know it..and when it's time to play..your not going to mess up...unless you have stage fright...if u do..then go to a mirror and practice or..ask your family ofr help..play infront of them...or friends ..just practice he part so you feel more and more confident...
