I have got a blob of wedding make up on my wedding dress.

Any suggestions on how I can remove it. I don't want to spend £150 on getting the dress dry cleaned.

The fabric is silk and the make up is the thick foundation.

There are several different things you can try, not knowing the fabric I would suggest spot checking prior to using any of these on the body of the dress to keep from dammaging it.

Huggies Baby Wipes, clean makeup off clothing
Toothpaste, takes out lipstick
Vodka, will remove mascara (be very careful!!)
White Vinegar, will remove perspiration stains and smells
Sugar Paste, made of sugar and water, and allowed to sit for one hour, will usually remove anything else

If you want to keep the dress ......... for whatever reason, spend the money on the dry cleaning! They can remove the stain and also pack the dress away for future generations.

Non-alchoholic baby wipes can undue some of the damage, if it hasn't been too long... however, if your wedding day is over, and you're keeping the dress, please have it professionally cleaned and preserved! That silk will begin to yellow and age very quickly. It's worth the 150, trust me...

if it is not a huge stain and not a really dark stain try some chalk it will cover the stain for the big day But i really would suggest dry cleaning
