I used to work for a doctor and they are so arrogant that they think the entire world stops for them and no one else has a life but them...they figure they went to school for a long time so they can take all the time they want...

I know exactly what you mean.....like I hate it when I make an appt. for my babies to see their dr. and even if it is just for a regular check up I always try to get the very 1st appt. in the morning when the doctors office opens so that I can avoid waiting. I get up so so so early to get my kids ready and drive there and we get there and the doctors office opens at least an hour late then on top of that, my appt was first but I'm now with a bunch of other people who had later appointments in the waiting room and they get seen first, then I really get ticked off when at times I'm still in the waiting room and finally 5-6 hrs later they call my name to take the kids in to be seen but now we have to wait some more hours in the room for the doctor......
The on top of ALL THIS....
they charge you....not only for when you've been seen by the doctors but also for that time you spent waiting around....I mean it's just getting ridiculous, I even got charged by my doctor when I went into labor and was in emergency cause my baby was two months early and all she did was pop in my door to say hi and that was it, I got $600.00 bill just for that!!! I even called her office and explained this to them, that she didn't do anything just came into the door and said "Hi" and they still claimed I had to pay because that was a Doctor visit because regardless of the fact that she didn't do anything she still saw me, which is a visit.

I was 10 minutes late for an appointment one time and they had to get permission from someone in the office for me to be seen by the doctor. I don't go there anymore.

Insurance companies force them overbook patients to be profitable, and doctor's schedules are very inflexible anyway, because of interruptions (phone calls, salesmen, stuff lost and broken,) and unforeseen circumstances.(patient ahead of you sicker and needs more attention, tied up at the hospital with patients he has admitted, computer screwed up, lab results not back in time, ect).

Always bring a book to read!
