......a lot of people who call themselves "Christians" (Christian means Christ-like) are the most narrow-minded, intolerant people in the world?

I heard a quote once, that said, "The greatest cause of Atheism in the world is "Christians"....those who declare Jesus with their mouths, and deny him with their lifestyles".......

Think about it...........

I'm a Christian who believes to each his own.
but I know what you mean I have relatives that go to church every Sunday and are the biggest snobs in the world. And some are so busy with their church to help out with an elderly relative or their own children.
I just feel bad for them. Especialy when it blows up in their face.

I have said that for 30 years , Jesus is a pacifist , but so many kill in his name . Jesus turned the other cheek for the betterment of mankind.

It's not ironic, It's Hypocritical..... there is a difference. Irony uses words to convey the opposite meaning... hypocrites say one thing and quite often practice another... such as many of today's "Christians"

They do seem very ignorant and judge mental don't they?

As for the atheist comment, while I'm not an atheist, I'm not a huge fan of organized religions b/c of my experiences in catholic schools. Therefore, I can understand how it can turn people in to atheist.

i have in no way heard all persons make the argument that gay marriage should be criminal because Jesus taught tolerance. "Destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. replaced into so dissatisfied t the folk of Earth he flooded it destroying all. " it really is the former testomony. Jesus, the son of Yahweh, replaced into no longer round on the time.

no need to think...know them.....ironic is a great choice to describe people who are so intolerant of others, but talk about the preachings of Christ......i don't get it, never have, and have noticed this all my life....stared your question.

Why is it that Christians don't celebrate the faith that Jesus celebrated......Judaism !

If J-dog had a bar mitzvah, spun dredles, and sat down to seders, why do Christians not do that as well? If they truly want to be more 'christ-like', they'd convert to Judaism.

Oy vey!

You are absolutely right. The majority of so-called "Christians" I've met seem more like racist closed-minded hypocritical fanatics.

Where, exactly, did Jesus teach tolerance? I'm not disagreeing with you, but do you have a Biblical citation?
