Something with candle light! Not anything to heavy though. Maybe some grilled chicken, seasoned good, with some rice or baked potatoes. Whatever you make, you should have angel food cake for dessert. That way you can have two uses for the strawberries and whipped cream you bought!!!

I'd do a fettucine alfredo with mushrooms and shrimp or scallops. Salad, and sourdough with balsamic and olive oil for dipping. Then spread a blanket on the floor, a couple pillows, candles, and pop in a movie. I call it a "floor picnic". And you don't have to leave the house and the bathroom is a couple steps away!

Most men, given their choice, would choose meat and potatoes. Steak, baked potato and a salad with a great dressing is easy and perfect. Ask how he likes his steak done. A bottle of red wine and candlelight complete the picture.

Have a great evening!

Italian is usually a hit with most anyone but I would suggest lasagna because some people just don't like spaghetti.

Guys love meat, ALOT. Guys also love grills ALOT! So pull out the george foreman grill and get to work. Burgers, steaks, whatever as long as it involves meat and a grill.

When we want to have a special night-- I cook these AWESOME breaded fried pork chops with sour cream cheddar cheese and bacon mashed potatoes with a salad. It's divine and my hubby LOVES it :D

The point of having a date at home is to keep it low key, no fuss, no mess... so take out it'll be great: Chinese or pizza, rent a movie and enjoy !

i would go with italian, but not spaghetti or anything with sloppy noodles or sauce. maybe have some fruit, nothing with parsely pieces as they can get stuck in your teeth and not look attractive. maybe a fish dish with a wild rice too.
