Become energy efficient, become free from mideast oil imports, we develop a new safe, commuter transportation system, we reduce dirty coal generators plants and quit putting mecury in the water--is that bad?
But if Global warming is happening and we continue to drive fuel guzzlers, waste electricity, melt the ice caps, flood Florida and the coastlands, create more hurricanes, tornadoes and drought produces famine, is that good?

Under either scenario the folks that oppose addressing global warming are really really stupid. There is no other way to put it.

To Jeb Black:

Anyone who believes that earth could go through these drastic temperature changes in such a relatively short amount of time should go see a shrink. The ice ages lasted for thousands of years. You think they just end over night(relatively speaking)? The natural cycle takes much longer than 50 years. We are on pace to have no polar ice caps by the end of this century. Have you seen the FACTS comparing global temperatures and CO2 levels over the 400,000 years?? The match identically. Also, temperatures have never changed this quickly. Every year we record it as the hottest year in history. Do see where this is going? Why deny that humans are responsible? Is it because you just agree with your parties stance on everything? Are you scared to go outside party lines? Or are you scared to think for yourself? Pick up a book and look at the evidence and facts about global warming. These are non-negotiable facts. You would have to be a complete idiot to think that all of the evidence is merely coincidental. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid and think for a change.

"It sure is bad! That means that new industries will get rich, which means new people will get rich - and we CERTAINLY can't have that. Far better to have the world driven repeatedly into a concrete wall with macdonald's, starbucks and coke standing proudly on top of the rubble than have industries that give a damn about normal people (I mean what kind of hippy thinks of the average citizen - it's shareholders all the way!) running the show. I mean saying that you can't log whever you like, buy out people's farms from under them, strip mine, rape burn and pillage the land to turn it into one gigantic über mall wherever you like is against the spirit of free enterprise!"

These are the words of the almighty Dollar. Thanks be to our new god.

Global warming is happening and it's a natural cycle. If you think that we can stop global warming, then you may need to see a shrink. It's impossible. But politicians will save the earth.lmao

What are you talking about. The first consequence is good and the second one is bad.
