They should be able to win the World Cup, but South Africa & Sri Lanka will give them a tough time for it.

Since cricket is a game of uncertainties as has been proved on number of occasions, nothing can be predicted for sure about the outcome of a tournament in advance.
While Australia are hot favourites to win the world cup, their victory cannot be taken for granted at this stage, as it is not yet clear which teams will be playing each other in the semi finals. One bad game by Australia in the semi finals will ruin their hopes of winning the world cup third time.

Seeing the matches in progress at the world cup in west indies, Australia are the clear favourites, though Sri Lanka will try to make an upset.
It will be a Sri Lanka-Australia final, on the basis of the other countries performance so far.

so far they are the best team in the cup and on paper it looks as if they will take the cup
but cricket is very unpredictable game
u never know what will happen
this world cup specially was quite unpredictable
did anyone thought about bangladesh beating both india and south africa
or ireland kicking pakistan out of the world cup

No, Australia will lose to Sri Lanka just like 96....
However, we both know Australia & Sri Lanka are going to the finals April 28th...
The only real cricket competition is Sri Lanka..... when it comes to Australia mate.

This time even they are showing like playing well , but their team is not balanced,, they are not having strong bowlers and strong lower middle order batsman,, So they will lose with Newzealand or to SA ..
