But we do. Maybe not naturally, but monkeys thrive in various areas here in Florida. Not only the Silver Springs area, but in south Florida, and even reports of them in east central Florida. All it takes is a few getting loose either from a private collection or from a zoo or some such.

Amidst all those hurricanes and intense electrical storms...monkeys can afford to live in less dangerous places, where the climate and weather suit them sufficiently.

We do go up or down the silver springs river and you should see some they got lose back in the days when they filmed Tarzan on that river and they have survived ever sense
