I didn't like high school at all. It was a hard time for me. I got in with the wrong groups, got into a lot of trouble with my parents and the school, and picked up some bad habits however I've dropped all the bad habits- years ago.
It wasn't until I found my amazing boyfriend in my senior year that I realized I wasn't living life properly and that my friends weren't really friends and they were horrible for me....
As for fitting in- in all honesty no one fits in during high school. We're all going through weird times and trying to find ourselves while others are trying to tell us who we are.
Did I fit in with friends? Yea I was liked by mostly everyone and I talked to everyone- jocks, preps, rockers, geeks, etc.
However my old brother definitely paved my path to being liked...without him I probably wouldn't have made any friends and it would have been even more of a hell...
However now that I'm in college I sort of understand where I went wrong in high school...but even still I'm not that social. I find it easier to be a loner who has good marks than a party girl. I did enough partying in high school.
I went to high school in Ontario Canada
How was/is high school for you?

I'm English, until recently, we didn't have 'high school'. Unless you went to a Church High which are private schools but not quite as elite as public schools (don't you just love it when we confuse 'em).
I went to a Comprehensive school called Pennywell ... such a darling little place.
I was bullied but found solace in the library and music department (I played the recorder, melodica and E flat bass). I loved learning but since I'm Aspergic and no-one knew about the condition in the 70's/80's, they just thought I was a daydreamer.

I fit in ok to my own group of crazy music lovers
Others though I was a loser and so were they but those people who act all smooth and cool and popular end up being losers after high school

Ew, school. I just finished writing a 10-page essay for economics and have a fifteen minute screenplay due tomorrow in creative writing. Not really loving school.
And as for fitting in, well... I often do this whole "reading because I want to and not because I have to" thing, so I don't really fit in.

I have not left their yet. Yeah I do fit in.. I guess because I'm nice to people and I don't judge before I get to know the person, because if I do then I could be missing out on a best friend.

Hated it at times back then, but now love and miss it. I wish so much that I was there instead of where I'm at right now.
I fit in just fine/with my own group of misfits. I wish I was there now because of those friends being around everyday, less responsibilities, more fun...

Didn't fit in at all. I kept the focus on the studies while everyone else focused on their gang. First year was aw-full then it was better since I switched to private. I felt better in college since people focus back on their studies and the approaching career.
