Well,

Move the 6x to the other side:
3x^2=6x

divide by 3x:
x=2

first divide by the common multiple of 3. This leaves you with x^2-2x=0. Then factor out the x. That leaves you with x*(x-2). So your answers are 0 and 2. You will always have as many answers as your highest power.
