Or perhaps I'm reading it wrong?

Actually there are some really hilarious things in it.

For instance, in the Book of Acts, people in Jerusalem accuse the Jews of being drunk after their encounter with the tongues of fire. The funny element? The events happened before ten in the morning! (Most parties would happen at night.)

Also, later on in the Book of Acts, a guy falls asleep on a second story church window sill. He falls to his death, but Peter brings him back to life. (Is this a possible danger to those that fall asleep in church? [Insert suspense music here.])

A third event is in the Book of John, when John makes a point of noting that he beat Peter to Jesus's tomb after the ressurection. Also that he was the one that Jesus loved. (Jesus loved all of His disciples - and the entire world too.)

So to answer your question, yes. There are several funny things that happen in it. But the book as a whole should be taken very seriously.

Wanna be grossed out? Read the Book of Judges! It is very bloody - you'll be reading it and wondering if you are actually reading the Bible!

Do you, ive never read it. Id like to so I can judge for myself but I dont believe in God so it might be a waste of time. Aparently its quite a long book!

I believe Jesus existed & that he was loved so much that when he died they made up ludicrus stories about him & put them all in the bible.

Im going to hell now for sure!!

Making fun of the Bible is not funny at all. The Bible is the Word of God and what you are doing is blasphemus. How could you really ever expect anyone to respect you when you are so disrespectful? I hope for your sake, that you see the error of your ways sir and find God before it;s too late.

It is the Holy and Inspired Word of God.
If this is something you do not believe that is your right. But you do not have the right to ridicule it and make fun of someone else's beliefs.

We're all stars in the dope show..The bible wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Jesus spoke in parables and mumbo jumbo Hebrew colloquialism.

The Bible is all things to all people. Stir its silvery waters and see in it what you want to see. That's what most people do. It's still not as funny as your pic, is that you?
