This question made me laugh, no seriously I was laughing out loud, well, if you invited people over to eat, don't you think you should wait for them or the might think your a little weird, they all show up and you serve them and they ask why aren't you eating and you say I already ate, I would think wow, she's NUTS!!! (unless al of your guests suck and show up like 2 hours late)

Most of the time it is if they find out. But there are some circumstances like acute diabetes that prevents you from waiting. Or another reason if your guests are very late. It's good idea to give them a lesson.

Nah, just don't tell anyone. I snack on my food all the time when prepping for a dinner. Then I can just have smaller portions during the dinner. As long as you eat something and act like it's dinner, it's fine. But you do have to eat your own cooking in front of people so as not to be rude.

if they are arriving there for the sole purpose of eating then yes. If they are going to hang and watch a movie and there was no talk of eating then no. Either way Bon Appetite

It's bad manners to eat before your guest arrive but if they don't know you've already eaten then thats fine.

I think so, especially if you all had plans to have dinner together. Have a cocktail while you are waiting. If your guests are running late order an appetizer for everyone to share.

If you tell your quests that the meal is being served at a certain time and they are not there it would not be rude. (especially if they do not let you know they will be late). they in turn would be the ones that are rude

I don't think so. If you tell them what time the meal will be served then they show up late, then you shouldn't wait any longer.
