This is a RUMOR! Sony would not spend millions of dollars to develop a device and then discontinue making it.

The Playstation 3 isn't going anywhere. The only time when the PS3 will be discontinued is when the Playstation 4 has been out for a few years.

it is a rumour-in fact sony are now working on making the ps3 smaller (as in playstation and playstation 2) also here in the uk the ps3 20gb version is due to go on sale in november.
