I don't usually take any notice of horoscopes but someone read three of mine to me yesterday. They all said I would meet the person of my dreams today. Well, I'm still waiting and I've been throwing myself at people all day.
It's been hard work.
I apologise to the man on the Underground, who asked me for the time. Maybe I shouldn't have licked your face but there was no need to throw yourself down the escalator.
If you send me your shirt I'll sew the sleeve back on.

I dont know. I have had quite a few of mine come true and some not. I dont believe in daily horoscopes from the newspaper but I do believe in Astrology. I can usually tell what sun sign someone is by there personality. I am very good at it too. Plus daily horoscopes are inaccurate because even if you are the same sun sign as someone else unless you were born the same year, date and time then your sun signs will be the same but your moon sign and other planets were probably positioned differently than the other person. Creating variation in daily horoscopes. Oh and my sign is Virgo and in general Virgos are drawn to Astrology and Mysticism yet more reason for me to believe that maybe the position of the stars may just effect us.

Why do people bother with asking these idiot questions on the horoscope board?
I mean, it's just a load of rubbish isn't it? Do people really think that their uninformed opinion and trash talking will really convince everyone that they're right? C'mon, get real!
These questions are written in language so vague that they can be interpreted by anyone to mean anything. Actually, they're written by people who like to hear themselves talk.

I think that people bother with astrology because it's fun. And if you look at soem of the books with an open mind about yourself and others, some of the stuff can be dead on. The horoscopes in the newspapers and magazines are broad, you should try looking at some of the books on astrology, you'll find more details on your sign.

I totally see your point about a lot of people not really living out their true potential (for happiness) and "watching the Disney channel" or being on Yahoo Answers (lol) instead. I think it is down to INDIVIDUAL ATTITUDE personally..whether you are or are not into astrology. There are good and bad attitudes everywhere, but that doesn't mean absolutely everyone who practices astrology or religion or train-spotting is like that. Whilst it is a good and protective measure to be discerning about bad attitudes, people must be careful not to tar everyone with the same brush by making sweeping statements: I've met both sweethearts and Pains-in-the-butts in most "groups" of people. A practice of both Discernment for unhealthy individual attitudes And compassion and respect for freedom of expression/ interests is important. It's not the chocolate cake's fault that I am a glutton :o) please let us not condemn and "ban" the cake or any cake-eater as that only adds more pain to the "bad attitudes" and confuses matters more away from the core issue of WHY (do Some people have that attitude)? As far as I can see, it has a lot to do with empowerment/self-worth/ emotional energy issues or lack of time out to get to Really know yourself in the first place (never mind Be yourself!) as most people's lives are sooo busy and very neatly compartmentalised from the age of 5: school; college; uni; mortgage. It is when you have time to Freely think, that you start to figure things out for yourself at a deeper level. And to apply that takes courage and often "a risk" and the imagination to figure out the loopholes of freedom from the supposed albeit challenging constraints. It does bother me occasionally..it depends who you hang out with I guess...I try and stear away from ego-astrology/astrologers. It's good to acknowlege your qualities/ challenges And move beyond that by Living and applying your gifts and learning. It's an eternal process, some people stay at the first stage, others move beyond a bit quicker. A good astrologer will always try and encourage and ask the question of how you may like to apply your gifts/qualities into the world. If you are sixteen however, it is only natural that it make take a little time to figure out who you really are and what you want. I know parents have the best of intentions, though some things have a natural course and evolution and only need patient and loving encouragement. I feel I personally have a healthy attitude to astro (we are not all like that?!): I need to be Happy with myself (feel I am being true) with how I live.. and Who I share the bulk of my time with..to me, astrology has been an amazing help and enhanced my clarity, indeed confirmed things I already knew deep down, as to who I am, what I need to develop, how I love to live: how I apply and share in a way that brings me and others the most happiness :o)

A typical ignorant question... if you actually knew anything about astrology and the intimate & intricate details of a personalized astrological chart reading based on your birth day, year, time & place, you wouldn't make a statement about how "vague" astrology is...
Now the stuff in magazines & newspapers & online? That's crap...
Tell me, would you dismiss medicine if you read a newspaper column discussing a disease a lot of people get, by calling it vague?

You will meet a person today and talk to them. Your sign is passing over uranus so this is a lucky time. Luck is behind a red door.
One thing worse than horrorscopes is chain letters, if you don't send this to 15 people in ten seconds your head will fall off etc etc

It's the vagueness that is the attraction. it uses arcane jargon and terminology, makes references to planets and stars and involves drawing up and referring to intricate charts and diagrams.
In other words, it is a pseudo-science. It has the 'look and feel' of something complex and intellectual, while being completely worthless and unrelated to any astronomical reality. It builds people's egos, lets them think they are doing something clever and important!
