Blood has nothing to do with pregnancy really. It is a general way of knowing, but in alot of cases it lies!!!!!!!!!!!! I had periods until I was almost 6 months pregnant. I dont know why I just did. I put off the whole idea of being pregnant because I was having my periods, I gained weight but I figured it was from all the mc donalds lol Then I kept getting funny feelings in my belly, like butterflies or something and they made me nausious so I went to the doc and he told me I was 5 months pregnant. Talk about a surprise. So dont always rely on that, and if you dont want kids, get some birth control before its too late. good luck

It would depend on how late you are, when you last had intercourse, all that. Your best bet is to go get a pregnancy test. It's not uncommon for pregnant women to experience spotting during when they WOULD have their period during the first month or two of their pregnancy. I had spotting but no REAL period (and you can usually tell the difference) and I found out later that week that I was pregnant. So I'd advise you to get a pregnancy test if you're actually late on your period and only spotting has occurred.

If you are of age, and have a period, and have had sex, you can be pregnant. You can even get your period while you are pregnant! So, if you think you might be pregnant, especially if you suddenly have a lighter period than normal, or have spotting inbetween when you would normally get your period, you should buy a home pregnancy test, and use it first thing in the morning (first morning pee has the highest concentration of the hormones that will be detected if you are pregnant.)
