It's priorities that change with age, things that seemed so important years ago now appear pointless and one can 'let go'. To some that may come across as apathy

i think that emotional scaring develops apathy. the older you are the more you face being a victim of crime and heart break. ps, too many criminals have taken advantage of people good nature. for example would you pick up a hitch hiker?

Do you mean to ask if it increases with age? The answer is sometimes, in some people. Like all things, it varies from case to case.

I think that as you get older, you become more selective about what you are willing to concern yourself with, the rest is just a waste of time.
