I think that he will do better this year numbers wise. I do not think the Bears will be a Superbowl team but I do believe that Grossman will improve. He is learning the game more, he is gaining more experience and confidence as he goes along. People really get on Rex unfairly, he wins games, he may not have the flashy numbers or the huge stats but remember he did lead a team to the Superbowl. If he were as bad as people want to make him sounds no team could overcome that. I think Rex will be more improved and hrow less interceptions this upcoming year.

Are you Grossman haters retarded? Seriously, he had times last year where he looked brilliant! Look at his stats during the first half of the season. That alone should be enough to prove that he has potential even to his biggest doubters. Imagine if he figured out how to play like that all the time! I say give him some more time to learn how to be a great NFL QB. The NFL standard for QBs getting used to the league is 32 starts. At least give him the benefit of the doubt until he gets close to that threshold. And even if he never gets any better, he is an average NFL QB at the worst. I know that the media has nothing but bad things to say about him, but give him a break!

Also, I don't agree with the statement that he has great WRs and a great o-line. Muhammad's skills are on the decline big time, even the Bears front office said that he isn't very dominant anymore. I think Berrian is overrated, he's not the next big thing, he's just another guy. And the Bears offensive line looks very average to me. I think that Rex has to carry that entire offense on his back to a much greater degree than people usually recognize.

Nope, he has that good of a receiving corps and a great offensive line and he's still poor?

No, he need to be benched and let Orton get in to develope his game. Split time between Griese and Orton then get Orton as the start the season after this comming season.

Grossman should be released to free agency and most likely picked up by the texans.

I can only hope this happens because I'm also a Bears fan, he's a disgrace.

If the Bears got Brady Quinn, they'd lose any respect I had for them, and i'm a huge fan of the bears. Brady Quinn is a horrible QB and will just be even worse in the pros. He will end up being more of a disgrace than Grossman.

No. He is just not a good quarterback. To start with he isnt tall enough. 6'1? Thats too short to get a good look over the linemen.

But more QBwise...what does he actually do well as a QB? He does not make good decisions. He gets tunnel vision (picks a receiver before the play and throws to him no matter what). He cannot scramble well. He has a weak arm. He is not accurate. He throws in to double and triple coverage. Hes just a horrible QB.

Last year he had a QB rating of 0.0, 1.3, 10.7, and 23.7. Wow.

Rex is going through the Favre stage.......... has a canon for a arm, but has trouble controlling it. If he learns to let the big plays come within the context of the offense, he will be an excellent Quarterback! Favre learned, and i think Rex will also.

Rex Grossman is not capable of doing better.

Sure, at times he looked brilliant. But those times were few. Too few for the nfl. He looked pathetic more than he looked brilliant. They cannot win a superbowl with him behind center. Lovey will realize this soon enough and pull the plug on Rex. Rex will soon be a 2nd string qb behind a durable qb. I hear the GB QB job might be opening up soon, he could go there and stink it up.

Definitely, people keep forgetting that last season was really his first season as a QB. He was always injured and that puts his learning behind.
I wasn't terribly surprised at his jerkyllandhyde numbers as he is just a rookie QB. He will make mistakes but he has also shown that he can play. It's a bit early now to judge his abilities ... another season as a starter will show how he is as a QB

Could he do any worse? He actually had a quarterback rating of 0.0 for a game this year. So yes, if he plays, he will do better. He can't get worse.

I think he will do a lot better now since he has more experience and not as much pressure on him.
