There are probably several reasons.
1. Some people just get a kick out of pushing someone else's buttons, so they make ridiculous remarks.
2. Human nature. If one person seems more "popular" others will jump in to discredit that person.
3. The religion thread is just ridiculous. "Loving Christians" are damning others to hell. LOL! That of course, leads to remarks from atheists. NOBODY will win in that game.
4. Maybe you're just getting tired of the same ol', same old. The questions are repeatedly asked and the answers are always the same.
5. Some people ask some REALLY dumb questions!
Don't let it get to you. Perhaps it's time for a break from Y!A. It's not like we win prizes of something. There really is no other reason to be here except for entertainment. Personally, I like to believe I can answer some questions in more depth and may be of help to someone. Y' never know. Maybe I'm just naive.

Some people just have way too much time on their hands and nobody around to control their access to the internet. It's just a constant reminder of why the news is always filled with tragedy, because there are way too many people who don't think right and have too much time with idle hands (except for where the keyboard is concerned).

Viciousness abounds. Haters, jealous people and those who are nasty to others and then go ballistic when someone is nasty to them in return. A vicious cycle...

Yea, I've noticed that too. It just seems to be getting worse.
The think I'm having a problem with is not responding in kind, lowering myself to their level. That would not be me or do any good.

I don't know. I was in a sorrority in college so I should be used to cattyness for the sake of cattyness and yet some of this BS just blows me away. The level of meaness I have seen in here just makes me wonder if people are really this mean in real life or if they just do this b/c they know they real identity is hidden.
I don't know which one to hope for, you know?

Too much insulation. Users are learning that they can insult, hurt felings, intimidate and be as vulger as they want, with impunity and just the slighest chance somebody at YA will catch them. Then it's only a slap on the wrist.

Some bozos seem to get intense pleasure out of upsetting others. Anonymously of course. Really brave of them. Their mothers must be so proud.
