What is CrI6; an acid or a base and why?

It could be a salt but that is using the Bronstead acid definition. What about the Lewis acid definition? Thanks for the replies though.

This is Chromium Iodide. That should make it a salt. It does not have a Hydrogen ion or a Hydroxide ion.
