He wasn't appointed the first time. The court ruled that he won the election. He won reelection in 2004. US presidents can only serve two terms. His is up in 2008 -- thank god!!!!

OH DEAR GOD I HOPE NOT !!! BTW...he was not elected in 2000. For all the conspiracy fanatics out there about 9/11, look into the election of 2000. A much stronger case there. Isn't it strange how every president elected into office in a year ending in 0 has been assassinated or an attempt made, or died until now? OH, that's right, his term is not up yet. just my opinion.

He was legally elected for two terms.

The only way I can see him running for a third term is if an amendment was made to the Constitution to allow him to do so. I don't think that is going to happen.

He wasn't appointed the 1st time, he was elected by the electoral college & he can't run again.
