Who didn't see this coming. A crucial decision must be made about feeding our troops and the dems are out vacationing instead of making the decisions they were elected to make. Meanwhile we will be too short on money by before may if no decision is made. Evil, pure evil.
How do people say they support the troops?

"The troops do not need funding. The war needs funding. If we bring the troops back home"
- You sir, are a moron. We do need funding out here first of all, the defense budget is used for everything from planes, tanks, and track, all the way down to gasoline, food and blankets.
They have already started cutting the medicare budget to pay for stuff we need in Iraq. Dont act like you know something when you in fact do not.

"ou realize that when the republicans ran Congress they took the same recesses, right? Oh... and when they were in session they only worked 3 days a week while the troops work every day trying not to get killed."
-You moron I know that the repubilcans slacked off twice as much... the point is that they made sure the funding was there before they recessed. I am not saying the republican congress was better in any way but I am saying that the dems made it seem like they were going to be "super-congress" and instead they turn out just like the republicans were. Except the republicans ALWAYS made sure the troops had funding first. Your lack of logical reasoning makes YOU look foolish

"bush took over 400 days of vacation last year alone...FACT 4 U "
- For the last time morons, I dont care that they take vacations, its about how during a crucial decision making time they take a vacation. Vacation is for after work is done and this issue needs to be handled yesterday NOT TOMORROW. They can reconvene, make the decision and then go back on vacation for all I care.

"I write to a solider in Iraq and send him care packages of books, magazines, American snacks, music etc. None of which I tax deduct because it's a gift. What do you do to support troops? I'd really like to know...I'll check back later for your response. "
I respect that you send M&M's and all to a single soldier in Iraq but what do I do? I am enlisted as a 13F fire support specialist and my brother has the same MOS and is on his 5th deployement in the middle east. I do my part, I will be in Iraq near the end of the year to finish diong my part over there.
I did not say that the republicans are more fiscal or anything than the dems, I am saying that we need MORE MONEY not less and we can't afford to play these waiting games.
PS I like skittles & kit-kats in my care packages. ;-)

"Who's the moron that said Bush took 400 vacation days last year? How'd he do that when there are only 365 days in a year? What an idiot. These are the "facts" the hippies have. Come on! "
-Doesnt it piss you off that half of America is this way, I mean I bet half the people here believe things like this that are so obviousely untrue. I mean 400 days last year?? What kind of bullsh|t is that man honestly. I mean, I know 4th graders that could make a better case for impeachment or the war than any dem I know.

I don't know your source. To say that republicans are more savy about government spending is just as short sighted as what you said. The government (regardless of 'sides') wastes too much, and finger points instead of getting work done, period.

This is too easy...
You realize that when the republicans ran Congress they took the same recesses, right? Oh... and when they were in session they only worked 3 days a week while the troops work every day trying not to get killed.
If you are going to take shots at the Dems see if you can do better than that. You just make yourself look foolish.

I just talked to my buddy in Iraq the other day and there was no mention of our troops starving over there. I didn't hear you complaining when Bush continued his vacation for 3 days while the people of New Orleans were starving and dying after the hurricane. Now that's pure evil.
Do you think the Dems motives are "Lets starve all of the troops to death, yeah. Screw them, right?"??
NO.
The Dems would like to bring the troops home and out of harms way. One could argue that you want the troops to die by keeping them in Iraq. One could say you're evil because you want the troops to stay in a hostile area where there is no clear objective to win. That seems 100 times more evil than the Dems rejecting funding on a war that is a blatant failure.
...or are you only capable of seeing what you want to see?

The troops do not need funding. The war needs funding. If we bring the troops back home, let them go back to their bases we will spend less money feeding and supplying them.
And the great is, they will accomplish the same thing here as in Iraw, at a fraction of the cost and with less dying.

The troops need to be brought home. Then they would nnot need the funding. It is time to end the war. The troops are not starving. They have plenty of food. They have plenty stocked up. Along with bombs. Bring them home and use the money for better things.

If the troops weren't fighting a war for the bush family (only reason is W wants to get back at those that tried to hurt daddy) then we would have the daily casualty lists and worry about logistic issues. Get real and get our troops out!!!

I have to agree with that,,,much like the president always running off to Crawford whenever things are hot in Washington,,,makes you wonder why we elect anyone doesn;t it.
Much like Congress voting themselves raises but not for the minimum wage earners.
I am completely fed up with government and those in it.... we live in a democratic country and we vote.. but we have absolutely no control. Once someone is elected they change and become evil... why is that?

What? they gave GWB a bill to sign to get his funding, he's just pissy that it isn't exactly the way he wants it. He's going to gather them together and explain why he's whining. Personally, I hope they tell him you've got your money, take it or leave it.
BTW: this is what most of America wants, a definable end point. It was GWB himself that said no one should enter into a war without an exit strategy. Congress is just trying to see that he has one.
