No, I consider them real disorders. Only an uneducated person would refer to them as diseases.

First of all, this is the wrong category and apparently this not your first time posting this particular question in Family and Relationships. This belongs in the Health and Diet section. Secondly, they are not diseases...they are disorders. The people that suffer from these disorders have a distorted view of what they actually look like physically. They see themselves as fat when they are actually skin and bones.

This is your 5th post of this question, and multiple postings are a violation of Community Guidelines. This topic is suitable for Diet & Fitness, or Health, but not really the Family & Relationship categories where you have posted it (again and again).

Diseases or not, they are serious and deadly disorders that usually require treatement if the person hopes to improve.

Makes sense in the article. They really aren't diseases if you ask me. It is a mental issue for sure but not a disease.

Yes they are and will they will also kill you if you don't get help. They are just as bad as cancer or any other disease out there. Some think people can control it, but from what I have read they can't.

All of the above are right on. I agree with them all. Napqueen said it best, I think.

I believe they're physical manifestations of mental illness and/or emotional instability.
