I think he got what he deserved. This suspension sends a clear message to Pacman: He can either play football in the NFL, or he can live the Thug Life, but not both. He is a superstar player with unlimited potential, but unless he changes his ways he will forfeit his entire career.

Plus, if he gets help and abides by all the rules there is still a chance he can play this year. But, that will never happen. I personally think we have seen the last of Pacman. If his current troubles in Georgia and Las Vegas don't send him to prison, then his year away from football will undoubtedly lead to many more altercations that will.

The NFL was smart, they gave him the one year with the adendum that he can have no more run ins during that time in order to be reinstated, so knowing that that will never happen, they don't come across as looking like super bad guys, because nature will just run it's course and he'll have more run ins and will never be reinstated, so it's like a good public relations permenant ban by the NFL in other words.

I thought it might be worse. He repeated ignored the league warnings about the trouble he was getting into. Just thought they might come down with a 18 game suspension. Chris Henry got off lucky though. He's the one I thought would get a year suspension.

I think for now it is good. Depending on what happens in Vegas, a lifetime ban may be in order.

So far so good, the NFL did it's part. Now, we will just see what the authorities in Vegas do!
