WHAT THE ADMENDMENT SAYS IS THAT A PRESIDENT SHALL SERVE NO MORE THAN TWO TERMS. IT ONLY SAYS TWO CONSECTIVE TERMS, NOT TWO TERMS TOTAL, SO HE CAN RUN AGAIN NEXT TIME AROUND. MY TEACHER TOLD ME THIS, AND SAID THAT CLINTON CAN RUN AGAIN, EVEN THOUGH HE SERVED AS PRESIDENT FOR 2 TERMS, HE SAT OUT FOR 2, SO HE IS ALLOWED TO RUN AGAIN. THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD, THAT A PRESIDENT CAN RUN AS MANY TIMES AS HE WANTS, JUST NO MORE THAN 2 IN A ROW. CHECK YOUR ADMENDMENTS, BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT I WAS TAUGHT.

your teacher is an idiot, why don't you check the amendment:
Amendment XXII
Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Bush will never be able to run for another term, if they could Bill Clinton would have already run and won. If Bush would run again that would be like the Rainman running for President he'd get his families vote, maybe, but that is all. I wish he would, he'd never make it to the primaries. All they would have to say remember Iraq and all the broken Constitution's. I would never vote for another Dictator or King.

I dont think that is quite right, I am pretty sure the amndment reads that no person shall be elected more than twice to the office of presidency. I dont think it says anything about it being consecutive terms.

Do yourself a favor. Don't take your teacher's word for it. Read the constitution, and present, in a nice way, your findings to your teacher. You will get an A and your teacher might learn something. Mr. Bush cannot run again (US Constitution) and cannot extend his term (War Powers Act). Don't take my word for it, because I am stupid, please read the documents for your own sake.
