Yeah and they totally freak out when they catch a scent! I think they might just go a little crazier each time they get a little taste of fear. I heard if you wear baby powder it totally mixes things up and throws them off your trail though. Trust me on this one, you just dont want to be scared around these bees.
P.S. I grow bees in Pennsylvania so I know what im talking about. One time they bit my horses' face and teeth right out.

Yes, they respond to the pheromones excreted by your body. Be careful when working around bees wearing scents like hair spray, perfumes, and sun block. Things that smell like flowers attract the bees and the banana scent triggers the attack reflex. Almond seems to make them stay away.

NO THEY DON'T. They have very poor vision as far as seeing objects but very good vision at detecting motion. Therefore, being aggressive when you mess with them, they can detect motion better than seeing you. If you stand still (show no fear if that's what you want to call it) they will have a hard time detecting you. But if you freak out and run with arms flailing and making all kinds of movement (being scared) they can easily detect you and chase and sting you. They don't know you're scared--just that you're making a lot of movements. I know it doesn't agree with your original question but that's what Answers is about--learning.

Yes definitely. honeybees are very sensitive to their surroundings and a superior sense of smell is one of their best assets!

They will sting you when they can. You need to stand up to them, unless it is the real aggressive killer ones.
