German exchange student to a black ghetto school?

In parts of Germany, black people are most looked down upon. i heard alot of crazy things about black people in germany before i left i almost canceled my trip. people looked terrified when i told them where i was going. heres some i heard:
Black people are very uncivilized (bad houses, dirty people)
Black people are very agressive and mean
Black people will shoot you on the spot
Black people are inferior to whites
I did'nt know what to do when i heard this but i am a very curious person. they originally directed me to go to a white preparatory high school but i changed it to the most blackest roughest school in the district to explore. (not scared of anything.) my mom strongly dsapproved and called blacks a few words before i left. Anyway, i did visit the white schools which i find are pretty normal and boring. i now go to the black school where i am actually treated very nice, especially by black girls. they are loud and exciting and loves to do hair. i love to watch them dance!

the girls there are actually pretty nice and i don't think any of those rumors are true. you can be nice regardless of where you are from as long as you get to know them. i am now head over heels for this black guy.... thats another story. i love black guys now, they are hot! i just wanted to know why americans spread stereotypes like that and what do you think?

I'm black. There are ALOT of blacks who fit those stereotypes, first off. The problem is that some whites attribute those negative traits to the entire black race, which is just silly. Not all blacks are like this, but if you continually run into those that fit that mold, you're going to assume the next black will be the same. There are a lot of smart, intelligent, mild-mannered and respectable blacks. But they get overshadowed by the vast number if idiots. The key is to be able to know when your prejudgments are wrong.

But kudos for making up your own mind about things.

Alot of people who live in the ghetto or are poor are like that regardless of race. Alot of black people are poor and live in the ghetto. So obviously alot of black people are like you described. There are many black people I know at my school that are nice and are not mean at all but only a few of those nice, quieter ones arrive on the ghetto bus. The other races who live in the ghetto are like you describe. So basically more blacks live in the ghetto than other races. So more are viewed that way as a stereotype, even though most people who are from the ghetto, regardless of race, are like you described. So obviously other people think it is only blacks even though I know people from all races are this way. The problem is neglect from crackheaded parents so the kids look at rappers and gangstas for role models and usually turn bad. Also blacks are a minority (12.12% of the country) but take up most of the prison systems so they are sure to be thought of that everywhere. Plenty of ghetto people are nice too but most are not so you got lucky at that school.

I know what you mean. I am Hispanic. I went to an all white private school. I lived in an all black neighborhood. I experienced prejudice and tolerance in both places. People are just people wherever you go.

Wait, are you black or German? Lol...I'm half black and half white, and I just wanted to say that you shouldn't believe all the stereotypes you hear about blacks, or anyone else for that matter.
