Okay here's the thing, my best friend is a guy(let's say....Jack!). About a month ago we were at a charity venue (Helping out) and him and I were put on a team to clean a particular room. We were having lots of fun and joking around and then he kissed me. Don't get me wrong I kissed him back but then I relised that it wasn't right cos he has a g/f and I had a slight anxiety attack (I have OCD) He was really nice about and said it was his fault. Then a couple of weeks later. A friend told me that "Jack's" g/f had been cheating on him for about 6 months and Jack knew about it. Ever since they broke up and Jack has been acting strange. He's always trying to catch my eye but he seems very distant. I thought maybe I scared with my anxiety attack but he knew about my OCD all his life ao that can't be it. My question is:: Do you think his feelings were genuine when he kissed me or was he trying to get back at his g/f???? He's a great guy and I don't want this to ruin our relationship..Thanks

I think the chances of his kissing you to get back at his girlfriend are pretty good; however, it's entirely possible that they were genuine.

Why not ask him?

Relationships that last come from good friendships.

that's hard to say.....he may have felt hurt by his g/friend cheating so perhaps he wanted to explore what that is like or he could have genuially wanted to kiss you and saw your reaction so appologized to you.

I think you need to communicate honestly with him and just remain friends for now..sounds like he needs his heart to heal first. That's alot to swallow knowing ur girlfriend has been cheatin gon you........Give him time to let go of his hurt before he can re-commit to you or anyone else.

Even best friends can have chemical reactions occasinally - esp. if they're of the opposite sex! Best friends can make good b/friends. Don't be in a hurry - let him make the first move.

he's your best friend? then tat makes this pretty easy: just talk to him! if you don't wanna ask him straight out, then just ask him about his feelings for is ex, whether he has any resentment, whether he's ready to move on or already has ... you get the picture. hopefully, a little heart-to-heart will get a couple of confessions out of him!! good luck!!

If you dont want your friendship ruined-dont worry about what Jack was doing just dont get involved with him romantically because it will affect your friendship.
