I live in Canada, which has true Universal Access health care. We pay about 1/2 of what Americans pay for health care overall. For that, we have a lower infant mortality rate, longer, and healthier lives. True story: I took an injured person to the Emergency here once. We phoned in to let them know we were coming. When we arrived, about 5 minutes later, the doctor met us in the hallway. We did not even make it too the waiting room. Our doctors and hospitals are world class. We are MUCH better off health-wise than Americans, ad a far less cost. And, nobody has to suffer because they cannot pay. So, that's why people get excited. The things you cite simply do not happen here - despite warnings that they would.

Don't be stupid. She tried this before. It's just socialized medicine. Even the Democrats said she was nots during Bill's term when she tried it. Our medical system has problems. Bad ones. It is still the best system in the world. We need to fix our great system, not scrap it and start over with some socialized Canadian like socialized crap.

Positively!
When the tyrants that want Socialized medicine have total control over your health care, anyone that disagrees with the care they are receiving will be labeled CRAZY and institutionalized.
They will proceed to give you therapy and a few pills.
You will stop complaining and then there will be NO MORE PROBLEMS !!

I don't know if universal healthcare is the answer, but I do know that if things aren't fixed/changed, there's going to be very few people with healthcare at all.

If you take the time to read about the problems and future problems of our current system, you'll see that it's set to implode in the not too distant future.

Does not affect me, I have double health care coverage. I do not expect the government to take care of me. My husband and I can take care of ourselves and our children just fine by ourselves.

Thanks for the generous offer, but I will remain self sufficient and not depend on the government to support me.
