Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry and if you WANT to count him, though he did quit...Mario Vasquez. And yes, you can add William Hung for being successful AT being bad!
LUKEWARM:
Ruben Studdard, Kimberley Locke, Katharine McPhee, Fantasia Barrino, Bo Bice, Constatine Maroulis, Elliott Yamin
POOR:
Taylor Hicks, LaToya London, Corey Clark, John Stevens, and countless others that time forgot about....

Josh Gracin hasn't disappeared he has been touring the country for the past few years. He is about to release his latest album sometime here soon. He was just around at the time when Kelly and Carrie came along and they have a different style of music. Josh was one of the first that had a real country theme about him. I know he writes some of his own songs and co writes them with others. Taylor Hicks should never have been picked, he is terrible! Kelly is good, but hasn't released very many good songs lately. Carrie good too, if you like a pop country kind of style. Clay, yuck, seriously...he isn't that good at all. What I think is that more woman have come through American Idol and have gotten publicity, unless they were really terrible guys.

I think American Idol doesn't always have the right contestant winning. I like Kelly Clarkson, but Taylor Hicks? I think Daughtry should've beat him out. Reuben is ok, I'm not much of a Fantasia Fan

I like Kelly Clarkson and have enjoyed how her style is evolvinging. I like Clay Aiken. I do wish his latest Cd had more original songs on it.I think his fans were expecting something more than a cover cd.It was still good but a little disappointing. Carrie Underwood is a great country singer.I like Dianna DeGarmo but she just never seemed to take off.I think I read she was putting out another cd but I'm not sure. I have grown to enjoy Kimberly Locke, she has a powerful voice.

Daughtry has promise too

They don't write their own music so I think they all suck. It's just commercial pop crap studio musicians play. They have no creative talent.

i haven't heard of half of those. i think IDOL became pointles after season 1. Ruben is a joke and so is fantasia.
