I had a receipe for playdough that I used for my kids last summer, and have somehow misplaced it. It had flour, salt, and water in it. I had torn it out of a magazine, and now I can't find it anywhere. I have searched the internet and can't locate it. Does anyone have this receipe laying around? It didn't involve cooking at all. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I love the peanutbutter playdough because they can eat it...

Ingredients
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup honey

Just mix in a bowl and shape, then eat!

And we make regular playdough too using this receipe:

The following recipe is a big batch recipe. It is intended to be enough for a party or group of kids and makes about ten cups of play dough—the equivalent of twelve commercial Play Doh ® containers. If you want a smaller batch, divide the recipe in half. If you are having a really big party and want more play dough, make two batches--this recipe is about all that can be made in a stand-type mixer at one time. You can also make this play dough by hand.

If you want multiple colors, divide the dough and knead in the food coloring after the dough is made. If one color is sufficient, add the food coloring with the water and save the step of kneading in the coloring.

7-8 cups all-purpose or bread flour
3 cups salt
3 tablespoons cream of tartar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
4 cups hot water
food coloring

Mix seven cups of flour together with the salt and cream of tartar in the bowl of your stand-type mixer. Add the oil and water and knead with a dough hook in your electric stand-type mixer for five to six minutes. (If you are kneading by hand, knead for eight to ten minutes.) Add more flour to
get a soft, workable dough.

Store the dough in a sealed container to keep it from becoming dry. If it becomes too dry, place it back in the mixer bowl and knead in a dribble of water.

What is Cream of Tartar?
Potassium bitartrate also potassium hydrogen tartrate has formula KC4H5O6. It is a byproduct of wine making. It is also known as cream of tartar. It is a potassium acid salt of tartaric acid. Tartar crystallises in wine casks during the fermentation of grape juice. This crude form (known as beeswing) is collected and purified to produce the white, odorless, acidic powder used for many culinary and other household purposes, such as:

Stabilising egg whites, increasing their heat tolerance and volume;
Preventing sugar syrups from crystallising;
Reducing discolouration of boiled vegetables;
Frequent combination with baking soda (which needs an acid ingredient to activate it) in formulations of baking powder

It can be found in the spice aisle!

It will dry out to a crunchy mess. It's better than regular playdough because you can make it any colour you like!
