He says the ten Hail Mary's and the ten Our Fathers, but I can't find that in the book at the moment, and I think he said something about never having been religious person .... If you could find that quote it'd be amazing. I heard someone say something about being a naturalist kind of a thing ... “It is enough to live on the sea and kill our true brothers” He thinks of all the fish and the birds as brothers, what kind of outlook is this?

If you have a source, like some kind of Sparknotes.com (haven't found anything there, yet, though) for something that I can quote in this paper, that would be nice.

He is Catholic, but also has elements of the native religions (naturalist, as you say) woven in to his belief system. This is very common in many cultures. The nature worship of American Indians, Latin American Indians and other "primitive" cultures was incorporated into the "new" religions that Europeans brought and taught to the natives.
