I have been using limewire recently but it has made my computer slow and i think that limewire might give it a virus.Has anyone else had problems with limewire?

I scanned my computer and it had 4 spyware items on it and that's been since i installed limewire.

It also installs spyware, LimeWire itself is "ok," but nothing too great. It is good for music and that's about it. Try using eMule Plus...it doesn't come bundled with spyware and it works very well for anything.

firstly, yes limwire has virus and advertisement software however there is a way of working round that becuase the advertisements and advertisments doesnt look right on the download point for example : " take that - shine" that look find but if it says " rare recording ( take that) thats dodgy plus u knw not to download content with the trash can symbol next to it.
secondly, if limewire was illegal it would have been closed down by now with it been popular and welll known the cheifs would have closed so why isit still running if its illegal.
i believe limwire is brilliant for getting songs in the right format rather than paying 79p off itunes then using a convertor to put it into mp3.
well worth is once you get use to it.
do regular scans to make sure no spyware or virus have hidden on your computer.

Ive been using limewire for quite some time now on many different operating systems. It runs flawless for me. Try getting a newer version of it.

I've obtained a lot of viruses through limewire... but I like it.

i have used limewire for a few months and its o.k for getting songs but it did slow my computer down alot.

Lime wire is not good IMO. There are many free programs out there that work better. DC++, Soulseek, WinMX, ETC. I would dump Limeware and try out a program without all the bugs & spyware on it.

No but make sure you are also closing the icon on the bottom, not just the screen. That will totally slow you down if you don't because the program will continue to run.

Limewire is not good.
1 It gets you free songs and videos and send you to jail.
2 It gets you free songs and videos and virsues
3 It gets you free songs and videos and ruin your computer.
It gets you free songs and videos and never gives you a good day.

i download all my songs on it and find it fab especially if you have broadband the songs dowload in mins. Have downloaded a few tv episodes too. They take a while but if you doing something else in between its fine. well worth a go
