i want to put gravel in my driveway but i need to seperate it from the grass. what are the best ways to do so? i need a barrier type thing. And what is road mulch?is it better than gravel? thanx

I would use bricks to separate the grass from driveway, but you could use railroad timbers, lumber, a flowerbed that runs the length on both sides. I really think it depends on the style of your home and the "look" you are going for.

I think the difference between the two stones in the quality & size. For most driveways it shouldn't make much of a difference.

Some people use bricks to seperate the two. You can also dig a trench and pile up the dirt along the side of the driveway to contain the gravel.

I can't say I have heard the term road mulch before. But it could be a fine grade of stone or rock.

You can get what you call edging bricks, you line them up in a row, some are scalloped or wavy , or just plain. and invert them along the edge of the grass.The gravel should be about grade 1 to allow car to flatten down.
