Why a scam?

Why is it that under warranty/insurance, a part never needs to be fixed when the repairman shows up? You practically have to be the squeaky wheel to get any work done. Where as, when you contract the repairman outside insurance, any concern, and immediately, the part is replaced? Thank you very much...

Very simple: THERE IS NO MONEY IN WARRANTY REPAIRS, NEVER WAS, NEVER WILL BE!!!!!

Because you want a part replaced and the repairman will be paid by you. So there is not problem with that.

With warranty there is another party involved in the process. You want it done and the repairman wants to be paid for his work. If warranty denies the repair, then who is out? The repairman who did the unauthorized repair.

I've worked in manufacturing for 27 years. Our customers who design products for consumers only require our stuff last a year, and they don't want to pay anything extra.

So in some cases the components that make up say the appliance you bought have parts that design and purchase price limits mean it is destined to fail at some point not far from their standard warranty. We know how to make our parts better, but in many cases the customer don't want to pay more.

In most cases it is so that they can show good numbers for their stock holders. They are in the business of making money, no longer is their "product" the focus of the organization.

They want their money right away. They don't want to wait until in warranty/insurance company feels like sending them a check. I have never found any good warranties.
