In a muted state, or in speechlessness if you will, you are wide awake and let thoughts from other sides come to you. This is the essence of one of the richas of Rig ved.You become more receptive to the worldly phenomena and silent words of God trickle into the ear. Although it may not be entirely possible, yet it is worth trying for some period of time.

My common sense says it is possible in real life of the people who has realised what actual love means. By the way I didn't see the picture yet but from the title I can say love is nishabd (wordless) for me.

Yes!!! nishabd doesnt essentially mean staying silent. To me it personally means that you develop tolerance and stretch its limits .In doing so you ll develop an inner peace not being bothered about silly things in life like a finicky person or a grumbling aunt. that i believe is truly being nishabd. where you know things have no meaning, you should learn to be quiet. its possible for anyone!!!

Shabdh! in sanskrit means sound.
Nishabdh is an opposite of shabdh.
My dear friend, life is nishabdh only. Abscense of nishabdh is shabdh. During creation nishabdh prevailed all over and the only sound was OM.This remodial sound is hence named as pranavadhara i.e it showed the evidence of life. But it didnt make life possible. The life which was existing earlier was shown to us by OM. It is silence which makes soul to soul communication possible.

The silence which I mean is total surrender. It is not the oral silence (Mouna). I have seen people in my guruji's ashram in silence for more than 3 to 4 days. They meditate in that atmosphere. Then on the 4th day when they are allowed to talk they dont feel like talking. The inner silence is attained.

See, life is only silence and not shabdh which is temporary.

The film opens with young Ritu (Shraddha Arya) inviting her friend Jia (Jiah Khan) to spend the holidays with her at her home in Kerala. Ritu's parents Vijay (Amitabh Bachchan) and Amrita (Revathi) make a beautiful home surrounded by picture-perfect surroundings. Vijay is a photographer and Amrita is a homemaker.

Jia has a dark past. Her mother lives (alone) in Australia and Jia studies in India. She is a free spirited girl with no attachments and no worries. She professes some affinity to Vijay but it doesn't go much further than that. But Vijay's world is turned upside down when he takes pictures of Jia watering herself down with the garden hose. Something innocent grows into something bigger, and something bigger grows into something beyond control.

Jia's world collides with Vijay's world. Around this time, Amrita's brother Shridhar (Nasser) visits them. Through a sequence of events, he uncovers the disturbing truth about Jia and Vijay. The collision of worlds results leaves three casualties. How they deal with the complex web of feelings between them forms the dark and sobering climax.

Silence is possible. You can remain absolutely silent not only externally but also internally. Internal silence is valuable. But external silence is a pre-requisite. Mind has to quieten down. It is the pure thoughtless awareness. All can practise it. Very few attain it. Shri Ramana Maharishi of India thought his disciples through silence only. It is powerful than speech.

All types of sins can be committed by human beings... That does not mean that you exhibit all that junk stuff in public... And when big people associate with such projects common people would consider it as a common practice and would not hesitate to commit the same sins confidently...

Yes !

It depends on what you understand by the word.

To me it is not oral silence, It is a way of life !

The way Gandhi lived for example !

Where you r physically active but mentally very quiet and peaceful...
