For the coordination compound K2[CoCl4] give the oxidation state of the transition metal followed by the the coordination number.

Potassium has a oxidation number of +1 and therefore

CoCl4 = -2

Cl has an oxidation number of -1

Co - 4 = -2

Co = -2 +4 = +2

Co-ordination number is 4.
