I called child support, and they got a report on March 22nd saying that they will receive my ex's taxes and even told me the amount. Does anyone know how long it will take to receive it? This is the first time in 7 years that I finally got his taxes!!! Thanks for your help!

Depends. If you're talking about STATE taxes--probably a few weeks. Longer for a FED return (upto 6-8 wks)--much longer if it is a Federal return and he is remarried filing jointly--up to 6 months for a joint return--as the new wife can file an injured spouse which will delay it that much longer.

It can be held for up to 6 months if FMS doesn't know what his current marital status is. The IRS can't give that information to FMS by the way since tax returns are treated as confidential. If he notifies FMS that he's not married and there will be no Injured Spouse Allocation filed then you could see it in 4 to 6 weeks.
