"Spring" does not refer to the season, but to where they get the water. A spring is place where underground water reaches the surface.

well since the climate throughout the world varies... just because its spring in one place doesnt mean its spring in another place. So somewhere in the world it is always Spring time

They go to Australia. When its fall here, its Spring there. So its really twice a year.
