You should b e able to go under the "File" section of your web browser and find an option to "Export" your bookmarks. This will actually transform them into a web page file that you can send to another person. If they open the file, all the bookmarks will be there as links on the page.

They can then, if they want, "Import" those links into their bookmarks. When they import them, they will not overwrite their existing bookmarks, but rather will be added to their list. Most web browser have an option when you Import where you can place all the imported bookmarks into a separate folder on the bookmark list. This often makes it easier to find them.

Copy your Bookmarks, Or favorites To a Separate directory, do NOT save them as the same name; Save them as a separate name, and send them as a Separate name to your friend, and that should be safe

Go into your IE internet folder, or your Firefox Internet folder, and should be a thing called Favorites/Boomarks. Copy that folder and make it totally new folder in the favorites. If you want to combine the favorites, then just copy them into their favorites. Just find the folder.
