Add a teaspoon of baby applesauce to the baby cereal and formula-she will probably eat it better and will have less chance of getting constipated. At 8 months, if she has gotten any teeth, she should be able to eat finger foods like cheerios and well cooked veggies and macaroni noodles.
There are also a large variety of baby foods for different ages of infants in the grocery store. The soup mix may be too salty for an infant.

I would not give her ten soup mix. Though I do not know what it is it sounds like a mix of ten different foods. It is best to give her foods one new one at a time. Try the cereals first...rice, oatmeal, and barley....then the yellow fruits and vegetables...squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, potatoes, bananas, applesauce, peaches, and pears. Then move onto the other fruits and veges but no cirtus fruits until age one. You don't need to buy jarred baby food. You can easily make your own if you have a puree machine or blender. Just boil the fruit or vege for five minutes and puree. Don't add any seasonings as of yet until your baby becomes more accustomed to the plain foods. After she has had two or more foods it is fine to mix the ones that she has already had together or with a new one. ALWAYS WAIT THREE DAYS BETWEEN NEW FOODS TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT AN ALLERGIC REACTION.

Unfortunately you have to stick to the formula, not cow's milk, for a few more months (24+oz per day)
But at 8 mos, she should be getting a lot of solids, too.
My daughter hated the plain cereal (can't blame her, it's disgusting!) You can try the jar cereal that is mixed with fruit. Don't stop there, though. She can have all kinds of fruits and veggies. You should start with veggies first so you don't spoil her palatte on the sweet fruit, cuz then you've got a fight on your hand trying to get veggies in.
Start with the sweeter veggies like carrots, sweet peas, and sweet potatoes. (remember to wait at least 3 days between introducing each new food for allergy observing)
She can even have table foods as long as the consistancy is something she can handle. Just make sure you scoop out her portion before add the salts and spices that might upset her tummy. You'll work your way up to the full flavor stuff around 1 yr (even then it depends on the child)
And don't just give her what you like... She may surprise you. My husband and I both detest black olives and beets. Our daughter can't get enough!

At 8 months of age, a baby is ready to eat anything mild that she won't choke on. Try soft cooked vegetables, soft fruit like bananas, and different types of bread and crackers. Meat can be started, the easiest is to cook some chicken but make sure it's nice and soft and the chunks aren't so large that they could choke her.

My little girl is 7 months old and has been eating table food for well over a month. She has 7 teeth but prior to that she still ate table food just fine. Start with things like canned veggies (green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes...) they are soft and you can give her small pieces of them. Fruits like peaches, cantaloupe, honeydew, pears and such are also easy to cut into little pieces for her to mash easily. Slices of plain toast are always a favorite, and once she masters things like that you can move on to small bites of pasta and shredded chicken and such. It's so much fun when they start eating table foods...but watch out she'll want EVERYTHING you eat LOL!

Try feeding her the cereal from a spoon. She can also have baby jarred food, veggies and fruits. Make sure to try the veggies first or she won't want anything to do with them once she tries the fruits.

i wouldn't put the cereal in the formula. the cereal is probably too bland by itself is why they don't like it. anyway, gerber has these great little foods called gerber graduates. it has little pastas in it and chunks of chicken, veggies, and all that good stuff. my daughter loved them. they also have jars of diced apples, peaches, green beans, carrots. try those out the kiddo, you will be surprised. it can get a little messy, but they have to learn to eat by themselves at some point. definetely try the gerber graduates.

um.. if you look around you will see that the infant foods(canned foods) all have different ages on them.. try her on some of those that are either meant for her age catagory, or for the ones that are made for younger... also you could make mashed potatoes and puree in some veggies and a very little amount of meat. just have to make sure it is puree'd enough that she doesnt choke on it..

Give her what you eat. Soft, steamed veggies at dinner, fruits... whole oatmeal with bananas. Its really endless... visit your veggie section at the store, or a farmers market... any semi-soft fruit (stay away from berries and citrus until a year) and any veggies that can be steamed or boiled.
Oh, and theres no need to puree anything, at 8 months she should be able to feed herself.

Ease her in slowly into the real food. Puree what ever food you give her so that she doesn't choke, or you can just buy gerbers.
You can feed her pieces of your food cut up very small. Give her one n ew thing at a time to rule out any possible allergies.
