ann coulter in a recent speech called john edwards a fa**ot and in 2006 in an interview called al gore a fa*.

Actually, plenty of people called out coulter on her hate-filled comments.

Coulter stands by her statements while Imus says he is sorry.

The odd thing is that Imus claims to have a comedy show and Coulter claims to be a serious political commentator. Yet Imus has a lot more serious political content on his show than Coulter has in her columns or speeches. Lots of politicians appear on Imus' show but hardly anyone, even hard right wing politicos will be seen anywhere near Coulter.

Imus is to radio what Oprah is to day time talk TV. Imus is the most powerful, connected. issue affecting morning host. It is good to start the day off with a laugh and news that cuts through all the petty stories. In the effort to provide humor the topic got to the sports and how the underdog had taken the championship, and Imus was rude and said a very rude thing about the team. The good things he has done are not an excuse but loosing advertisers hurts the radio revenue. The Radical reformist black movement found a voice and smells blood. I am more influenced by the attack than the statement that Imus has made. The outrage is a product of deep fear from the black population, "that white people still to this day feel prejudice is justified. When most of the population has chosen only a few friends it is hard to make any generalization of the whole feeling. This is why you have to be suspect of the accusers like you are. Imus is an easy target, too, easy because he makes fun of everyone. The standards would be double if the accusers had attacked people on a level playing field but few have the power of Imus. The power to sell books, Give forum for causes political..humanitarian...
I am bias because I love to hear the humor..I love the ability to say some ting is sick and wrong where I would never have, and make up my own mind.

Ann Coulter is a disgrace and I turn the channel when she is on television. I find nothing redeemable about her, as a journalist or as a human being. Imus usually I can relate to or listen to. The racial comments were offensive. That bothered me. Sometimes, I think famous people get a little too comfortable in what they say to the public. Even the smartest can make some really stupid comments at times.

What rock have you been living under? Coulter's fa**ot statement and many others are constantly getting hammered in the media and public discourse. No double standard there.

I think it's because blacks are supposed to be equals in our society, but our govt. and most right wing/Christian/ republican/cross burners think that gays aren't equal, therefore don't really have a right to complain.

It amazes me how much hatred there is in this country based solely on sexual preference.

Ann Coulter is a waste of space. An oxygen thief if you will. Anyone who actually agrees with her should have their drivers license and voting privileges revoked. The woman is a cancer to society and anyone who agrees with her.

No one cares what that attention whore says; for the precise reason that if you pay attention to her hate-speech she wins.

All she wants is to muddy the waters of political discourse and make a few bucks in the process.

most people are angry at msnbc for allowing such negative comments , ann coulter's coments are worse but she does it on her own time like in interviews or her books , Imus was basically speaking for msnbc , i don't believe that but that is the difference
