I don't think so, why bother, its not like you are going to be smiling when they lay you out.

that's an interesting question. They could take them off at the request of the family. I have buried a son & I had to answer all kinds of wierd questions. Most people want to remember their loved ones as they were when they last saw them. If I buried someone w/braces, I'd probably leave them on. It wouldn't matter anymore.

I was going to say maybe if you were creamated, but then again, it would be the same effect as if someone had metal plates or pins in their body. So, I dont see why it would matter.
If you're buried, you're not smiling anyway, so I guess it would be up to the family.

That depends on whether or not you were going to be cremated. If you were, they'd probably take them off.

I've never seen anyone buried with an open mouth, so I'm doubting they'd do something like that...but who knows!

If you mean the Funeral home, I think not.
Too much trouble first of all, and secondly, they won't show in the coffin.
