Is global warming caused by man, or not, that's the question.

Religion is man's attempt to communicate with God, not the other way around. God did not invent religion, man did. If there is a heaven, it seems doubtful that there would be religion there, as there would be no need for competing belief structures once everyone knows the truth.
Global warming is not a question of belief. Whether it is real or not cannot be determined by a poll, even by a poll of scientists. No one should "believe" or "not believe" in global warming. Whether it is happening or not is a question of scientific fact. We can make some interesting hypotheses about that, or we can just sit back and watch it happen. Or we can decide not to believe that it is happening, and sit back and watch and find out whether or not we are right.

It's the other way around. Religion was invented by man. It is mankind's way to communicate with supreme beings - God, Allah, whoever.
Global warming and cooling are both real. Each has occurred numerous times throughout Earth's history. (I still remember the frantic cries in the 70's that the next ice age was coming.) The push seems to be to make us believe human's are significantly affecting this most current warming cycle. The latest I've read is that we are about nineth or tenth on the list of contributing factors. While not significant contributors to global warming, I believe it is in our best interest to trim down our pollutants so mother nature can do her own thing without us messing with her plan. However, can we stop global warming by stopping all manmade greenhouse gases? It appears not. This issue has turned into an almost religious frenzy. Let's try to strike a balance between responsibility to the enviroment and responsibility to the economic prosperity of the United States and the world.
It just dawned on me. How is it that we ask a question about God and global warming in the Politics forum? I think we're being brainwashed into believing the gov't has answers to our questions. I think we're better off without politicians infiltrating our thoughts and sciences.

No, religion is not God's way to communicate with man. It is man's way of inserting meaning in his life.
Global Warming is real, but it is not being caused by the United States. We could go back to the stone age tomorrow and it would still happen.

No... religion is a way for like minded people to share their belief systems.
Global warming may or may not be real. Some say there is proof of it, but I have yet to see conclusive proof. It is still a theory. However, even if it is not real, a cleaner environment is not exactly a bad thing.

Religion is man's way of controlling other men.
Global Warming is very real. Climate patterns are always changing on Earth throughout history. The causes and solutions are open to debate.

First: No, religion is MAN's attempt to communicate with God, often involving rites that God doesn't want, need, nor care about.
Second: Yes, 'global warming' is real. That doesn't mean I believe Al Gore's version of it. It is like evolution; there is something there but it is a joke to think we understand it.

No, I do not believe "religion" is God's way to communicate with man. We can communicate with God at any time whether we are involved in a "religion" or not.
Global warming is occurring. But it has cycled this way for eternity. Nothing new is happening that has not happened before.

I am not getting the connection but why is anyone asking if global warming is real? Is the ocean wet? Is Bill O'Reilly usually wrong about his facts? Every notable scientific measurement says there is climate change and the planet is getting warmer. The only debate left is the root cause and whether we can affect this climate change. Maybe God is talking to us via climate change. He has done it before according to the old Testament.
