You are correct - abortion is wrong and it should be illegal in every circumstance. I suggest anyone that disagrees with that statement look-up an old anti-abortion film called "Silent Scream" and actually pay attention to what is happening to the "Fetus" during the abortion - if that does not change your mind than you are not human. As to all these over-conditioned "I'm OK, You're OK, I would not get one myself but that does not give me the right to judge someone else..." milk-toast answerers - over 1,300,000 abortions are performed in this country every year - most of those are "Birth Control" abortions. In this day and age, there is absolutely no reason to be pregnant if you don't want to get pregnant - except for the possibility of an otherwise abstinent woman being raped - and then I still value the life of another human over the convenience of a woman placed in that position against her will. And why the "Thumbs Down"? Afraid to find out that your belief in baby-killing is immoral?

I believe in certain circumstances it can be the right decision. If you are not going to be able to provide for that pregnancy and make the decision to abort in the first trimester, you should have every right to do that since the fetus lacks any cognitive abilities and is not self-aware. However, this does not mean that abortion should be used as a convenient form of birth control, and that attitude should never be "eh, well if I get pregnant, I'll just abort!".
I believe it should be the mother's right to abort into the second trimester if she has been a victim of rape (and that pregnancy was a product of that rape) or incest, because I would never ask a woman to carry a pregnancy to term that she did not choose to have.
There are also certain medical conditions in which abortion is the only option, lest both the mother and the fetus both die, and I certainly believe abortion at any point in the pregnancy is justified in that situation.

I would not abort any child in my body BUT that does not give me or ANYONE the right to tell another person what to do with their body.
I don't like hearing about abortions, I hate that people are using it as a method of birth control, and I think third trimester abortions should be illegal.

honestly, it all depends on the situation...if u cannot care for the child, it might be better if it was aborted....but if u have the means to give the child a good home, food, and shelter, then there's not really a reason why u should not keep it....my opinion, take it or leave it :)

I think it should be legal and I'm a Catholic. I would never get one myself but if someone is raped or is a very young girl then why should they have to carry a baby around. So, I'm all for it.

i would never do it, personally, but i do not ever judge a person if they do. The people that use it for birth control are pigs. there are MILLIONS of people that are unable to have children. I think adoption is a great alternative.
