If they tuned sharp, how did Don Rich do those low string licks?>

Don Rich, made those low note sounds, with a guitar processor, that had an octave multiplexer on it! A lot of different processors have that on it, or you can buy just the octtave multplexor by itself!

My guess is that they tuned standard but because the recordings are on tape, the tape speed was increased when they made the masters - this was a common practice back in the analog days.
