In all honesty, getting started was always the most difficult part for me. Once I get started I usually can't stop. I love putting on music and just getting started. I am also self employed and that in itself can be a struggle if you don't have the right attitude. I listen to a lot of inspirational CDs, read good inspirational books (one of my favorites is "What to say when you talk to yourself".) Self talk sounds funny at first, but if you think about it we are constantly negative. "I can't do...." "I'll never be able to..." "We will never have..." "That costs way too much, I could never afford it...." Learning how to change the way we think is the key. One of my favorite things to say on a regular basis is "I am a woman on a mission for God with a Passion and a Vision!" When I am working to glorify God no matter what I am doing, anything can be accomplished. My priorities MUST be in order!! :)

Sorry this is so long. I have learned so much about becoming motivated...I could probably write a 10 page paper on it. Hope this helps some, and if you need further info just let me know. God Bless!!

The thought that if i don't, there is consequences 4 examples:
If I don't work/make money-I don't eat
If I don't pay 4 my house/no place 2 live
If I don't take care of my kids who will- foster care
If I don't stand for something I'll settle for anything.
So bascially in order for me 2 survive I have 2 motivate myself if not - not only do I suffer but the people around me as well.

A kick in the @55 with a frozen mukluk usually does it for me bibble.
That or the sweet talking wife of mine. She is soo sweet, I'd do anything short of, outright blaspheme, the slightest blaspheme, murder, stealing, lying, stabbing, robbery, or a threesome for her. Boy I love the way that girl motivates me.

It varies from person to person depending on their personality type. Here's a few I can think of:

The need for survival
The need for conflict resolution(peace of mind)
Deadlines
The need for health and security
The want of a better life
Pleasure
The need to be free of pain

I'm sure there are many more since this is a general question. Would like to hear a few more. Interesting question.

It is an energy within that desires to act upon an idea so as to achieve the best possible result that will make you or someone else happy or to enable you to be more productive.
I believe this force within is God driven
