Or is there a certain line that's crossed before it's considered evil?

YESSSS They are EVIL! Thank you for pointing this out. It seems like every despicable behavior is called a sickness or disorder these days, no thanks to the American Psychological Association.

Why do you think molesters and child killers are at the greatest risk of being killed in prison? Because even a murderer knows evil when he sees it.

The vote isn't in on that one yet. I believe that evil has been passed down to them so it is environmental and that makes them evil to me until I read further studies. It's important to know if there is a cure or if it's hopeless. As for a line being crossed, all sickness can be labeled evil and all evil is definitely sick. Whether it requires a cure or punishment is the question. I favor punishment but my friends think me cold on that subject. So be it.

I think, when it comes to hurting someone who is vulnerable, it takes a person who is very evil, or very sick. Sometimes the person really is very sick. We try to label those persons as evil because we just can't understand how they can do the things they do. But there are some pretty sick people walking around in our society. But, on the other hand, evil is alive and well and some people are just evil through and through.

Molesters are both evil and sick. They are sick for wanting to do anything like that, and they are evil for doing it. A crime that involves taking away the purity from a child is the worst crime.~*

I think they are evil. Sickness can be used as an excuse, he did it because he is sick, well let's give him a pill, send him to the doctor and send him home. They have evil thoughts, and unlike us other humans who can control our occaisional bad thought or urge, they CHOOSE not to. That's why they can go for years without committing the crime then start again. You cannot stop and start being sick, you can stop impulses.

I think calling someone sick is an excuse for the family so they don't look/feel bad. The molester is evil, plain and simple. Every one of those soulless bastards should be killed.

I do and I am pursuing my Phd in Psych. And this is the hottest topic I have with my collegues. First of all sick means to have some kind of treatment to make you better, but for people who commit these horrendous crimes there is no "magic" pill that will make it better! So for me I would take care of them the way other countries do with crime, let the victims family take first shot! Of course that is my opinion, you don't know who I am and when I get my Phd I will still have this theory!!!

I definitely think that they're sick people. The evil things that they do is because of their sickness.

I want to say they are sick..but it's a strange sickness, it's uncurable. I think that we should lock them away as if they were "evil" because they commit evil acts, and they cannot be rehabilitated.

It has got to do with the mind and when we consent to the thought and put it into action that will hurt others, it will consider as evil. But the good news is that as long as we are truly sorry and willing to repent, that is a good starting point.
