Mockingbirds are a group of New World passerine birds best known for the habit of some species mimicking the songs of other birds, often loudly and in rapid succession.
Most species are tropical, but the Northern Mockingbird breeds throughout the United States and Canada. There are 17 species in four genera.
A few types are the blue and white, blue, brown backed and long tailed. A rude bird.

It's a bird.. a cute one.. and a nice one! very pleasant!
That's why there is the saying..."to kill a mocking bird" means that you are hurting a totally innocent person. Because it would be just plain wrong to hurt such a pleasant creature.

It's a really rude, disrepectful bird who goes around mocking people. No, seriously, it's a kind of songbird, also called a cat bird. No sh*t.
